Local College Grads and Students Honored
Jun 7, 2010 – Keene State College has released the Dean's List for the spring semester 2010. Among the 1,563 students named to the Dean's List is Laura B. Sanborn of Raymond, ME.
To qualify for the Dean's List, Keene State undergraduates must be enrolled in a degree program and must have completed a minimum of six credit hours in the semester, receiving no failing or incomplete grades. Students must achieve a 3.5 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale to earn Dean's List honors.
The following local residents were among 874 students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2010 semester. Emily Johnson, of Gray, a freshman majoring in Biology and Biotechnology, and Andrew O'Neill, of Raymond, a freshman majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differ from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the "A" level in courses and projects.
At Saint Joseph's College of Maine, the following local residents were named to the Dean's list for the spring semester. Heather Aceto of Gray, Sarah Knights of New Gloucester, Megan Harding of Raymond, Rebecca Morris of Raymond, and Alyson Schadler of Raymond.
To be eligible for Dean's list, a student must attain an average of 3.5 or better.
The following local residents were named to the Honors list at Saint Joseph's College of Maine for the spring semester. Mary Pride of North Yarmouth, Molly Beard of Pownal, Heidi Friberg of Pownal, Sarah Hawkes of Pownal, and Brandon Guerrette of Raymond.
To be eligible for Honors list, a student must attain an average of 3.0-3.49.
Earning their undergraduate degree at Saint Joseph's College of Maine during Commencement exercises held in May were Christopher Keneagy of New Gloucester, Sarah Knights of New Gloucester, Jena LaFleur of Gray, Jessica-Lee Ramsdell of New Gloucester, and Kayla Rickards of Gray.
Saint Joseph's College of Maine is a Catholic liberal arts college located on Sebago Lake in Standish, Maine. The college has an undergraduate enrollment of 1,000 students and offers 30 academic majors.
And finally, Giselle Pomerleau, of Raymond graduated from the Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University on May 26.
One of 114 members of the school's second graduating class, Pomerleau received a juris doctor degree during the ceremony in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
