  • Cumberland County Charter

- County Commissioners of Cumberland County hereby give to you formal notice of an election regarding a question of whether or not to adopt a County Charter, which will be held on November 2, 2010.

The proposed Charter can be found on-line. Printed copies of the final report of the Commission and of the actual proposed charter

will be made available at the various municipal offices at least two weeks prior to the election and will further be posted at least at one public place in each municipality.

Additionally the Warrant and proposed Charter for Cumberland County can be found on the Town of Gray's Website under Election Information.

Request:
Approval to construct a 24' x 24' attached accessory unit at 12 Spruce Dr., Gray, Me. Owner is Josephine Harbough.

To expand an existing daycare facility from 5 to the maximum of 12 children at 126 Mtn.View Rd. Applicant is Shirley Trumble.

Approval for Pitstop Fuels, Inc, 125 Ossipee Trail E, Standish, Maine to install a 25,000 gallon fuel tank on Portland Road, Gray, ME.



Gray Public Notice

  • The deadline for placing items into the Town Time Capsule is September 15, 2010.

- Everyone in town or that is in some way associated with Gray is encouraged to write something about yourself and your family and how you came to be connected with Gray and whatever views you have of local, national, or world events to place inside.

If you have an item of special significance or relevance to our day-in-age please consider adding it to the capsule. The Time Capsule will be buried next to the Pennell building with instructions to "not open for at least 100 years".

Please bring your items to the Doug Webster at the Planning Department in the Henry Pennell Municipal Complex. Don't miss your chance to place a little something of yourself into Grays History!

- last night's special select board meeting saw the board take action to set the municipal tax rate, and take no action in four separate executive session issues.

MDOT Road Construction Notice

New Gloucester

- Beginning on Monday, September 13th, the Maine DOT will be repairing failed culverts at Rte. 213, Cobbs bridge Road and Gloucester Hill Road. The duration of the project is unknown, and a disruption in traffic is expected.
