MSAD 15 School Board Member Stepping Down
• Wants to see seat filled by election
|
Mar 15, 2010 - For what he cited as mostly professional reasons, Tod Bennett has resigned his position on the SAD 15 School Boars effective this June. Bennett commented, "I was always happy to serve on the school board, and wish I could continue, however, my business requires that I maintain some flexibility in my commitments. It is important to me that my vacated seat be filled through election rather that appointment, thus my decision to step down in time for the upcoming election." Bennett is in the second year of his third term on the School Board. He spoke of all the exciting things happening in the district, and is excited about RISC (Reinventing Schools Curriculum), and the prospect of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. He also suggested that his term, with one year remaining will provide a good opportunity for someone new to acclimate to all the exciting changes in the district. |

Mar 9, 2010 - The Gray Town Council has held a series of budget workshops with individual department heads. The group has been shaving, tweaking, and cutting in an attempt to present the public with a lean responsible budget for the 2010 / 2011 fiscal year. With the open floor portion of town meeting eliminated, Monday's Council Meeting provides an opportunity for the public to have it's say while there is still time in the budget preparation process to make adjustments based on public input.
