Gray Town Office Building Committee Meets

  • Approve Design Recommendations to Council

Proposed Site Plan for the Town Hall Renovation at the Pennell Complex

- The Gray Town Office Building Committee met on July 2nd to review the latest preliminary designs of Architect, Don Lewis of Lewis and Malm Architects. Site plans, floor plans and building elevations were considered. Very preliminary cost projections were shared as was fairly extensive information on alternative building systems and fuel. In addition to the committee, there were several citizens in attendance.

Planning to attend the GPLA
Book Sale Next Saturday?

  • Their will be a bake sale to support the
Community Auxiliary Food Pantry Too!

- At the same time as the Library Book Sale on Saturday, July 11th, there will be a bake sale held at the library from 9-2 p.m. right outside the door where the book sale will be held. Donations will be asked, to support the Community Auxiliary Food Pantry, held twice a month at the First Congregational hall behind McDonalds.

So go pick out a few good books, then grab some sweets on the way out. Simply head home to a big comfortable chair, begin reading your books and eating your sweets. If you follow these simple instructions, you won't care if it's still raining. And at the rate we're going......



Josh Libby Fishing Tournament

- On July 18, the Josh Libby Fishing Tournament, a fund-raiser to support the Josh Libby Foundation will take place at Crystal Lake. The event is organized by JoshLibby.com and sponsored by Pinetree Food Equipment and the Gray & New Gloucester Gazette. Entry forms can be obtained by emailing info@joshlibby.com

Community Access Television

  • What is PEG?

- After attending the New Gloucester Town Meeting in May, a look into community access television programming took on a life of its own. There is a movement in New Gloucester for Public Access programming -- currently not permitted. Gray does have Public Access TV available. The research has been quite an education.
